Dr. Frank Nelson serves as Music Director. Dr. Nelson is a professor of Adult Education at the University of Central Oklahoma, for whom a scholarship in piano is awarded annually. With over 40 years experience as a church musician, Frank writes, "There is a lot of music in worship at MHUMC! Music at MHUMC covers a variety of musical styles from classical, to traditional, to contemporary to country/gospel and music from a variety of ethical backgrounds. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7-8:00 p.m. Additional special musical performances are usually part of worship during Christmas and Easter. MHUMC would love to have more instruments used in worship, particularly during our more relaxed worship experiences on Thursday evenings in the spring."
